Indie producer Incendo has started production on the Canadian pay TV movie Deadly Hope, starring Alana de la Garza (CSI: Miami).
The female-led thriller, the fifth and last from Incendo this year, is directed by Nicolas Monette (18 to Life, Bye Bye), who also helmed the opening sequence for Ubisoft’s Prince of Persia.
In Deadly Hope, de la Garza plays a doctor whose life becomes a nightmare when her fertility clinic associate is murdered. Realizing she’s the next target, she sets out to discover the killer’s identity.
The telefilm, to shoot in Montreal through mid-November, will air on The Movie Network, Movie Central and Super Ecran in 2012.
Josee Mauffette, Jean Bureau and Serge Denis are producing for Incendo, and Stephen Greenberg and Jean Bureau are executive producing.
