Guillermo del Toro has booked five of the seven stages at Pinewood Toronto Studios for his monster movie Pacific Rim, to shoot through April 2012.

Now we know what’s helping to fill the rest of the Toronto mega-studio: Spanish director Andres Muschietti’s horror movie Mama, which del Toro is executive producing.

The genre picture will shoot through Dec. 9, and is produced by Barbara Muschietti and J. Miles Dale.

The Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Jessica Chastain-starrer portrays a couple who care for young nieces and nephews that are beset by a supernatural force intent on taking them back.
