Entertainment One (eOne) has denied it has held talks with an eye to buying Chorion, the UK-based rights holder of Noddy (pictured) and other TV properties.
A report in the Mail on Sunday in Britain suggested the Canadian producer has been involved in discussions with Chorion.
Entertainment One on Monday in a terse statement on its corporate website said that, in response to the press speculation, the company confirmed it was not in negotiations for Chorion, which put itself on the auction block last month.
The denial also follows the Toronto-based producer, which trades on the London Stock Exchange, indicating it is weighing a possible sale of its own assets after fielding buyer interest.
