Syfy renews Warehouse 13, cancels Eureka

NBC Universal’s Syfy channel has renewed Warehouse 13 (pictured), which is shot in Toronto.

The series about Secret Service agents investigating paranormal activity, which stars Saul Rubinek, also airs on Citytv.

But the U.S. channel, which traditionally shoots a slew of series in Canada, also canceled a six-episode sixth season renewal of the Eureka dramedy, which is produced in Vancouver.

Warehouse 13 received another 13-episode order for a fourth season.

At the same time, Syfy earlier this week said it was pulling six episodes for what the channel earlier billed as a sixth and final season for Eureka.

“After painstaking consideration, we have had to make the difficult business decision to not order a season six of Eureka,” Syfy said in a statement.

The fifth and now final season of the series is currently being shot at the Vancouver Films Studios in Burnaby.
