Kids content prodco and distributor DHX Media has signed a music publishing administration deal across its group of companies with indie music publisher Ole.
Announced today, the deal will see Ole assume music publishing administration rights for over 40 titles in the DHX library, which includes 2,300 hours of TV programming.
Under the terms of the deal, Ole will collect and retain all music publishing revenue for the library and, once its advance is recouped, remit revenues to DHX.
Ole has offices in Toronto, Nashville and L.A. and has a catalog of over 45,000 songs and 40,000 hours of TV music.
Titles in the DHX library include Animal Mechanicals and How to be Indie.
