Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN) has promoted Sky Bridges as COO of the network, effective immediately.

Based out of APTN’s Winnipeg head office, Bridges will helm daily operations as well as coordinate elements of the APTN plan between departments.

Bridges joined the network in 2007 and served as the director of marketing until his promotion to COO this month. Previous to that, he worked with PrideVision TV and the CBC, as well as VP of business development at the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business.

“Sky is a dynamic young executive who brings much energy, knowledge and creativity to the table,” said Jean LaRose, APTN CEO in a statement.

“It is our hope that Sky…will assist us in moving to the next level as we focus on an expanded strategic plan positioning APTN as the focal point for both television viewing and online interactivity within…our communities.”
