Lost Girl creator Michelle Lovretta has been brought on as a producer on The Secret Circle, a new series from Kevin Williamson (Scream, Dawson’s Creek), as announced by The Alpern Group.
The Secret Circle is based on a series of books by Vampire Diaries author L.J. Smith about a young woman who moves to New England and discovers a secret coven of witches. It’s slated to hit the CW airwaves this fall.
Lovretta has been keeping busy, as the two seasons of Lost Girl (pictured) were recently sold to Syfy in the US. She was also the showrunner on season one of Instant Star and was a writer on The Associates, Jeff Alpern tells Playback Daily.
Lost Girl enters production on season two in mid-May, and it was the top show on the channel for adults 25 to 54 on Showcase, also topping scripted series across all specialty channels.
Lovretta is repped by The Alpern Group.
