CTV on Wednesday continued its management shakeup with a series of in-house and indie production executive promotions, including Bob McLaughlin adding senior vice president of production to his titles.
In a series of appointments unveiled by Susanne Boyce, president of creative, content & channels at CTV, Corrie Coe has been promoted to senior vice president of independent production.
Coe has been charged with aligning CTV development and indie production teams across the conventional and specialty channel platforms.
Coe was formerly CTVglobemedia’s vice president of business and legal affairs, responsible for negotiating broadcast deals with indie producers.
Reporting to Coe is Brett Burlock, who has been promoted to vice president of development at CTV.
And the network added senior vice president of production at CTV to Bob McLaughlin’s titles, while he remains vice president and general manager of CP24.
McLaughlin’s new duties include uniting the in-house production teams at CTV’s 299 Queen St. and Masonic Temple locations, including production units for CTV, Bravo!, The Comedy Network, MTV, MuchMusic, Space and Star!.
And Millan Curry-Sharples will join CTV as vice president of comedy, reporting to Joanna Webb, the former Corus Entertainment exec who is to join CTV on October 4 as senior vice president of programming.
Millan, closely involved with The Comedy Network since its launch, will now oversee the comedy specialty channel after most recently teaching sitcom production at the Humber School of Comedy since 2006.
