Entertainment One has secured a third season order from HBO for Hung.

The latest 10 episode order will take the Thomas Jane-starrer into 2011 on the premium U.S. cable channel.

The dark comedy, created by writing partners and real-life married couple Colette Burson and Dmitry Lipkin, stars Jane as Ray, a struggling, but remarkably well-endowed, high school basketball coach who figures out a way to use his best asset.

Lipkin and Burson share the executive producer credits on Hung with Alexander Payne, Michael Rosenberg, Scott Stephens, Noreen Halpern and John Morayniss for E1.

The series’ ensemble cast includes Anne Heche, Eddie Jemison and Charlie Saxton.

Hung also airs on HBO Canada, where the second season finale is set for September 12.
