Canadians are ready to check in to HBO’s The White Lotus as it nears the premiere of its third season on Feb. 16.
The satirical anthology was 47.9 times more in demand than the average series in Canada during the week of Jan. 27 to Feb. 2, according to Parrot Analytics. A trailer for its third season was released online Jan. 27.
Each season of the Mike White-created series — which streams on Crave in Canada — follows a unique group of guests, employees and locals and their interactions at the eponymous fictional resort chain. In all three seasons, different locations of the Toronto-headquartered luxury hotel and resort chain Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts are used as a stand-in for the fictional resort. HBO has already renewed the series for a fourth season.
The White Lotus landed at No. 3 on the overall originals chart behind Netflix’s Squid Game, with a demand average of 51, and Saturday Night Live, with a demand average of 72.2.
Demand for Saturday Night Live has steadily increased in prior weeks as the Lorne Michaels-created sketch comedy program nears its 50th anniversary special on Feb. 16.
Behind Squid Game on the digital originals chart is Apple TV+’s Severance (36.3) and Prime Video’s Beast Games (31.6).
Netflix’s The Night Agent (28.2) debuted on the digital originals chart at No. 5 following its season two premiere on Jan. 23. Netflix has renewed it for a third season.

Parrot Analytics calculates its Top 10 lists using Demand Expressions, which are shown by using a metric that demonstrates how much more in-demand the top series are than the average TV show (linear, pay TV, SVOD and AVOD) in Canada. For example, a difference of 1x represents the market average and 10x means a series is 10 times more in demand than the average TV show in this market. Demand is defined as the total audience demand being expressed for a title within a market. Audience demand reflects the desire, engagement and viewership, weighted by importance; so a stream or download is a higher expression of demand than a “like” or comment.
