Indie distributor Cineflix International Distribution has hired Sabrina Ayala to spur additional deal-making in Spanish-speaking markets.

Ayala, most recently vice president of sales and marketing at CABLEready, will be based in New York City from August 30 as London-based Cineflex International’s vice president of Latin America and Iberia sales and acquisitions.

The hire comes as Montreal-based parent Cineflix Productions has bolstered its production arms in New York City and London to produce and sell more global TV product.
