CBC hooks up with Impulse

Impulse Media Sales is the new sales agent in the U.S. for CBC, which recently struck a deal with the New York-based company to handle distribution of programming from English and French Services.

The agreement took effect on June 30, with Impulse shopping such Ceeb shows as Being Erica, 18 to Life, and Little Mosque on the Prairie. The company takes over from Canadian Television Sales. CBC says a ‘transition plan is currently underway’ and no reason was given for the switch to Impulse.

CBC’s GM of media sales and marketing Scott Moore said the pubcaster wants to ‘expand our footprint’ in the U.S. through the collaboration with Impulse. The company also handles U.S. sales of Canadian programming from Corus Entertainment, Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment and The Fight Network.
