Canada’s Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium has acknowledged the work of two of its ranks with promotions to the executive team for their work at the Vancouver Games.
The Consortium has named Christos Nikitopoulos to the post of VP of programming and revenue planning for London’s Olympic and Paralympic Games. In this newly-created position Nikitopoulos will lead the integrated cross-platform development and execution of programming and revenue strategy for all media assets, looking to maximize both audience and revenue opportunities. For the Vancouver Games, Nikitopoulos served as senior director, and prior to joining the Consortium he held several roles at the CBC.
Gavin Roth has been promoted to the position of vice president of sales, a bump from his former position of senior director. Roth will be responsible for creating a targeted sales strategy for all media in London. In Vancouver, he developed partnerships with leading Canadian companies for all advertising platforms. Prior to joining the Consortium, he worked with the Canadian Football League and WWE Canada.
Both Nikitopoulos and Roth report to Keith Pelley, president of Canada’s Olympic Broadcast Media
