Martin Short is to top-line the Fox comedy pilot Tax Man, playing an obnoxious boss at an Internal Revenue Service office in the mold of Alec Baldwin’s 30 Rock Jack Donaghy character.

Short will perform opposite David Krumholtz in the multi-camera workplace comedy from Ron Howard’s Imagine TV studio.

Short recently completed a star turn on the FX drama Damages, and an appearance on HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm.
