Search underway to replace Clarkson

With the search underway to replace Wayne Clarkson, the board of directors at Telefilm Canada said this week that it will fill in for the former executive director until a successor is in place.

Any decisions which would previously have been Clarkson’s call will instead go to the board, keeping the federal funder running ‘smoothly and effectively.’

‘As the industry is aware, our management committee is made up of experienced, competent managers who represent all sectors of the organization — ensuring that Telefilm’s activities continue in a seamless way until a new executive director is named,’ said chairman and rumored frontrunner for the job Michel Roy, in a statement. Clarkson left Telefilm on Monday, marking the end of his five-year term.
