Alexander Schwarz of Vantage Film Germany talks up the equipment maker’s Blue-Vision Flare Filter, during a recent open house at the Toronto branch of Clairmont Camera.

‘It fits perfectly to our anamorphic lenses or any regular spherical lens,’ he says, creating blue horizontal flares in the highlights. ‘We created a special filter to create optical distortions… so now a cinematographer has a choice.’
