Crave slates true-crime docuseries Mafia: Most Wanted

The 3 x 60-minute series will offer insight into the Italian organized crime syndicate known as the 'Ndrangheta.

Bell Media’s Crave streaming service has slated a March 7 debut for the original true-crime series Mafia: Most Wanted.

The 3 x 60-minute series offers audiences insight into the ‘Ndrangheta, a powerful Italian organized crime syndicate with deep roots in Canada, where it has allegedly been involved in drug trafficking, theft, financial fraud, extortion and murder.

The docuseries draws on undercover surveillance footage and wiretaps, as well as dramatic recreations and firsthand testimony from figures including former mob enforcer Joe Ferraro, biker turned police informant Cecil Kirby, crime writer James Dubro, investigative journalist Joseph Loiero and retired RCMP sergeants Larry Tronstad and Brad Trainor.

Mafia: Most Wanted is produced by Vancouver-headquartered Screen Siren Pictures in association with Last Word Entertainment and Bell Media. For Screen Siren, Trish Dolman is the writer, director and executive producer, with Steven Thibault also serving as executive producer. Sherry Fynbo and James Carroll are the executive producers for Last Word.

For Bell Media, Danielle Pearson is senior production executive, original programming; Sarah Fowlie is head of production, original programming; Rachel Goldstein-Couto is head of development, original programming; Carlyn Klebuc is general manager, original programming; Justin Stockman is VP, content development and programming; and Stewart Johnston is SVP, content and sales.
