CTV strikes VOD deal with Rogers

CTV and Rogers Cable have signed a lucrative deal that will put an array of CTV programs, including fall pickup The Vampire Diaries, up for grabs on a new channel on Rogers On Demand.

The service launched with a performance episode of So You Think You Can Dance Canada on Sept. 1. The broadcaster says nearly 750 hours of new content will be available on the CTV-branded channel on Rogers Channel 100.

Among the shows that will be available on demand are reality series The Amazing Race, dramas including Grey’s Anatomy, Flashpoint, Lost and Desperate Housewives, and newbie shows The Vampire Diaries and The Beautiful Life. From late night, offerings include The Colbert Report and The Daily Show, while daytime’s The Dr. Oz Show will also be available.
