Canwest Broadcasting has rehired Brad Kubota as its VP of sales for Global B.C., a role he will take on starting this September. Kubota replaces Ruth Powell, who is retiring from Global B.C. after almost two decades.

The announcement marks the return of Kubota to Canwest, where he most recently was VP of local sales. Last March, he jumped ship to rival CTV, where he was VP of sales for conventional television. Kubota will again live and work in Vancouver.

‘Both Canwest and Vancouver have played very significant roles in my life and career,’ said Kubota in a release. ‘I am beyond excited to be a part of this amazing team.’
