Rogers Digital Cable has picked up CosmoTV, extending the reach of the Corus Entertainment-owned channel by about 1.4 million households in Ontario and New Brunswick, bringing its total to nearly five million. The channel is currently available to all Rogers Digital Cable customers as a free preview.
The female-aimed channel launched on Valentine’s Day and is also carried by BDUs including Bell TV (formerly Bell ExpressVu), Star Choice, Shaw and MTS.
‘There has been a great deal of excitement around the launch of CosmoTV, and the audience reaction to the channel has already more than delivered on our expectations,’ says Paul Robertson, president of television at Corus.
CosmoTV targets the female 18-34 demo, running wide-ranging programming including the net’s flagship show Oh So Cosmo, Sex and the City and The Bachelor.
