Canadian demand for HBO’s The White Lotus rose slightly through the last week of February as it continues its third season.
The anthology series was 64.2 times more in demand than the average TV series in Canada during the week of Feb. 24 to March 2, an increase from its demand average of 62.1 the week prior, according to Parrot Analytics.
Available in Canada through Crave, The White Lotus (pictured) follows the interactions between guests, employees and locals at the eponymous resort chain. Each of the seasons has been filmed at different locations of the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. The luxury hotel chain was founded by Toronto-born Isadore Sharp, who is set to be honoured by Canada’s Walk of Fame in June.
Ahead of The White Lotus on the overall TV originals chart is NBC’s Saturday Night Live with a demand average of 74.9, seeing a decrease from 102.5 the previous week following its 50th anniversary special. The sketch comedy series featured former cast member and Canadian actor/comedian Mike Myers and Calgary-born pop singer Tate McRae for its March 1 episode.

Invincible’s third season premiered on Feb. 6 while Severance‘s second season premiered Jan. 17.

Parrot Analytics calculates its Top 10 lists using Demand Expressions, which are shown by using a metric that demonstrates how much more in-demand the top series are than the average TV show (linear, pay TV, SVOD and AVOD) in Canada. For example, a difference of 1x represents the market average and 10x means a series is 10 times more in demand than the average TV show in this market. Demand is defined as the total audience demand being expressed for a title within a market. Audience demand reflects the desire, engagement and viewership, weighted by importance; thus, a stream or download is a higher expression of demand than a “like” or comment.
