Third season for Buzz

Family Channel has ordered a third season (26 x 30) of The Latest Buzz from DHX Media, following a series of deals for the tween comedy in Europe and Latin America.

The series, set in the offices of a struggling youth magazine, has been sold by DHX’s distribution wing to Nickelodeon Spain, Digiturk, RTE in Ireland, Cartoon Network Latin America and to VRAK.TV in Quebec, all of which took seasons one and two. Cartoon Network Germany has bought season one.

Latest Buzz will have 65 half-hours on the market following completion of season three. It ‘keeps getting better and better with each new episode,’ according to Kevin Wright, SVP of programming at Astral Television, the parent company of Family.

The show set records when it debuted in early spring, drawing 322,000 viewers (2+) to Family.
