Cream gets Kuzmyk

Cream Productions has brought in Jenn Kuzmyk to usher more projects through to production as director of development, factual entertainment.

Kuzmyk will be seeking out and developing new doc and lifestyle show ideas and bringing projects to green light starting Sept. 2. She will report to company founders Chris Rowley and David Brady, producer of Survivorman.

Kuzmyk was previously the editor of Factual Week and Canadian bureau chief for U.K.-based entertainment trade publisher C21media.net. She is no stranger to the industry, having previous experience in distribution with Malofilm/Behaviour Communications, as well as having previously written for Playback, RealScreen and Strategy magazines.

‘We have a mandate to ramp up our production slate with more returnable factual entertainment series, international formats and lifestyle programming,’ said Brady in a statement. ‘Jenn’s considerable international TV industry experience as well as her creative and business acumen will be a huge asset in taking our development strategy to the next level.’

In addition to Survivorman, Cream is currently in production on eco-tech series Mean Green Machines for Discovery Canada and Planet Green U.S., and the World War One-themed Dugout for Channel 4 and History Television Canada.
