Xenophile up for another Emmy

Xenophile Media is up for another Emmy award, this time for the interactive offshoot of Total Drama Island. The clickable version of the Teletoon series, Total Drama Island — Totally Interactive! , has been nominated for best interactive programming at the international interactive Emmys, putting the Toronto company up against shops in Belgium, Spain and Finland.

Xenophile shared a win in the same category last year, getting the nod for its ReGenesis game along with Zinc Roe Design, which won for its Zimmer Twins site.

Xenophile, together with series producers FreshTV, are the only Canadian companies named in this year’s awards, which will be handed out in April in France at MIPTV.

The U.K. leads the pack this year, with five noms for titles including Doctor Who Interactive, BBC Archive Trail and Spooks Interactive.
