• Kathryn Humphreys has exited Citytv, followed by her boss Stephen Hurlbut. The veteran sportscaster walked away after 10 years early this month when, according to Hurlbut, national VP of news, she was unable to close a new contract with the Toronto station group. Days later, Hurlbut himself was gone. Tina Cortese, City director of news programming, will fill in for him on an interim basis.

• Craig Forrest has signed an exclusive four-year deal with Rogers Sportsnet as lead soccer analyst.

• Joëlle Levie is stepping down as director-general of film and television at SODEC, exiting the provincial funder for personal reasons after six years. She will be moving to Paris in 2008.

• Outspoken NDP MP Charlie Angus is no longer on parliament’s Heritage committee, following elections earlier this month that replaced him with the party’s housing critic Bill Siksay. Tory Gary Schellenberger (Perth-Wellington) was re-elected as chair. Liberal Mauril Bélanger was named first vice-chair and Bloc Québécois MP Maria Mourani second vice-chair. Other new faces on the committee are Bloc MP Luc Malo, Conservative MP Dave Batters and Mourani.
