CTV has picked up the ABC drama October Road and added it to its Monday night schedule, where it will take over for Dancing with the Stars. Following the lead of the U.S. network, the series will sneak preview on Thursday, in ER‘s slot at 10 p.m., before settling into its Monday 9 p.m. spot next week, stepping in after the fifth season of Dancing.
The six-episode first season aired in March on ABC, playing well with the 18-49 demographic and women, according to CTV. It stars Bryan Greenberg (One Tree Hill) as a literary celebrity who returns to his hometown in Massachusetts, though he has burned his bridges with his old friends by telling their secrets in his novel.
Season two will air in simulcast with ABC.
