Decode buys Spy

Decode Enterprises, the distribution arm of Toronto-based Decode Entertainment, is taking on a non-Canuck property for the first time, scooping up worldwide television and home entertainment rights to Turner Broadcasting’s new live-action My Spy Family.

Produced by U.K. upstart Kindle Entertainment, the series, aimed at kids six to 14, centers on the Bannons, a family of ex-spies that attempts to adapt to normal life after years of foiling super criminals and overthrowing dictators.

My Spy Family is slated to bow on Boomerang U.K. in September. Decode will launch it into the international market at MIPCOM this October.
