Portfolio Entertainment has promoted Jon Rutherford to director of sales and acquisitions, effective immediately, expanding his duties to include sales in Europe, Latin America, the U.S. and Canada, plus worldwide acquisitions.

‘Jon is unstoppable,’ said Portfolio boss Joy Rosen in a release. ‘He has done a tremendous job cultivating new international relationships while conscientiously maintaining existing relationships with broadcasters and production companies.’

Rutherford joined the Toronto company in 2004, coming over from Technicolor. Prior to this promotion, he was sales manager for Eastern Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
