MTV makes new Made

MTV is making a Canuck version of its hit series Made, and has gone to camera on a 4 x 60 run of the reality-ish series for its Canadian outlet. The U.S. version of the show — in which participants are coached by pros to achieve certain goals — is one of the more popular programs on MTV Canada, which VP of production Mark McInnis hopes will translate into a homegrown hit.

‘Canadians already love the show, so making a Canadian version is a natural addition,’ he says in a release. ‘Made focuses on self-confidence and achieving your goals through hard work and discipline… it’s a show I’m proud to say I’m making.’

Ben Rotterman is exec producer. An airdate has not been set, and the channel is looking for participants who can round out the four-ep run. The first will feature a teen girl from Rexdale, ON who wants to be a hip-hop dancer, with pointers from choreographer Stacy Simpson.
