TVA Films has hired Sophie Aird as its new general manager of distribution. The former Alliance Atlantis Vivafilm exec — recently posted atop the marketing department of Distribution Select — starts on Monday.

The Montreal distributor has also promoted Karynn Austin to director of distribution for English Canada.

TVA’s slate of upcoming films includes Olivier Dahan’s La vie en rose, Andrew Currie’s Fido and Mary Walsh’s Young Triffie’s Been Made Away With.
