The Canadian Film Centre has named the first two recipients of its Telus Innovation Fund and handed $100,000 cheques to Edmonton’s Rocketfuel Productions and to Films Isle Turbulent in Montreal.
Rocketfuel will put the funds towards Save the Technosaurs, a multi-platform edutainment title for kids, while Films Isle Turbulent continues its work on Ullumi, an Internet project about everyday life among the Inuit.
The fund was introduced last year to support creativity in multimedia.
