* Josée Vallée is now president of Quebec production company Cirrus Communications, taking over for company founder Jacques Blain.
* Capri Releasing president Tony Cianciotta has left to pursue a consulting career. Cianciotta joined Capri in April 2004 and previously held posts at Cineplex, Alliance Releasing and Twentieth Century Fox.
* Maurice Prud’homme is the new CEO of venture-capital funder Fonds d’investissement de la culture et des communications. Before joining FICC, Prud’homme served as CEO and chair of Investissement Québec.
* Marie-Pierre Coles is now director of programming at Seville Pictures. Coles comes to the Montreal distrib after eight years as director of programming at Cineplex.
* Alan Gregg is the new VP of production and distribution for Alliance Atlantis Communications’ children’s television division, moving up from the director spot.
* Peter Armstrong is now GM at Toronto’s Eyes Post Group. With over 25 years in the post biz, Armstrong has held jobs at Magnetic North and Calgary’s White Iron Film and Video Productions.
* Claude Bonin has been appointed acting director general, French Program, for the National Film Board, taking over for Claudette Viau, who is on a leave of absence. Bonin is a veteran producer of projects such as the Gemini-winning MOW Dr. Lucille: The Lucille Teasdale Story.
Also at the NFB, Emmy winner Derek Mazur is now executive producer of its Prairie Centre.
* Rachel Fulford has been promoted to director of original programming at Showcase. Fulford was previously a production executive on Trailer Park Boys.
* Claude Lemieux has been named VP of communications and member services at the CFTPA. He previously helped coordinate trips for Canadian delegates to the Cannes Film Festival, MIPCOM and other industry events.
* Pierre Lampron, VP of institutional relations at Quebecor Media, has been named the chair of television of the Canadian Association of Broadcasters’ board for 2005/06. Rick Brace, president of CTV, is vice-chair.
