Dark Oracle and CBC’s The Newsroom are both up for International Emmys, and will square off against other comedy and youth-aimed series on Nov. 21 when the 33rd annual TV awards are handed out in New York City.
YTV’s Oracle – a copro by Shaftesbury Films and Cookie Jar Entertainment about a mysterious comic book – is up against shows from the Netherlands (Dunya & Desie), the U.K (My Life as a Popcat) and France (Zoe Kezako). The Newsroom is running against two series from Germany (Berlin, Berlin and Ohne Worte) and the BBC’s Little Britain. The U.K. leads this year’s noms with 14 nods across nine categories.
