Re: ‘War of the World’ (Playback, Aug. 15, p. 29):

Out of the 300 films from 70 countries showcased at Montreal’s World Film Festival, it’s appalling and absurd that Playback chose a photo from Karla, the one film for sure that wasn’t shown there. Isn’t that just a touch cynical and exploitive?

By the way, the pink was a nice touch on the Karla withdrawal article.
