Alliance Atlantis has unveiled the fall programming for its slate of specialty channels, including the lineup for its newest, Fine Living Canada, set to launch Sept. 3.
The new digichannel will focus on luxury and recreation through shows such as Fantasy Camp, in which people get to attend baseball camp with the Los Angeles Dodgers, or get football training from Joe Montana. Other programs include The Perfect Party, offering tips on throwing a fete, and Around the World in 80 Homes, showcasing rental houses.
AAC has also announced the skeds for its other cable channels, including Showcase, Food Network, HGTV, Life Network and History Television.
Premieres on Showcase include ESPN’s Playmakers, a Toronto-shot drama about football, and Family Business, a reality show focusing on the life of successful porn producer Seymore Butts. Returning to Showcase are new runs of Trailer Park Boys from Topsail Entertainment, HBO’s Six Feet Under and Temple Street Productions’ Queer as Folk.
Food has been revamped with a more health-conscious twist, offering shows such as Calorie Commando and Low Carb and Loving It. Steven Sabados and Chris Hyndman, hosts of HGTV’s Designer Guys, will debut their new and similarly competitive show Style Rivals on Life. History will premier Zero Hour, a new series that recounts the final hours leading up to famous disasters.
