Richard Hardacre has been re-elected president of ACTRA Toronto Performers and says he will focus on industry stability and the balance between competition and fairness for members.
Hardacre has been a national councilor since 1995 and has negotiated on behalf of the alliance in negotiations with independent producers. He graduated from the National Theatre School of Canada in 1975 and has worked across Canada as well as in New York and L.A.
In other ACTRA news, the alliance is sponsoring the seventh annual Women in the Directors Chair workshop, running Jan. 23 to Feb. 9 at The Banff Centre. Eight women directors are set to participate in the 18-day workshop intended to advance Canadian women in film, television, video and new media productions.
