THE awards offered this year as part of the Hot Docs festival differ from last year. The biggest difference: this year ‘nominations’ embrace all films with the relevant credentials.

The 28 homegrown films (selected out of 367 entries) in this year’s Canadian Spectrum are eligible for the Gold and Silver awards for best Canadian documentaries, the Best Direction Award and the Humanitarian Award:
