Apple Box Productions director Akim Triebsch teamed with dop Ron Williams on a one-day shoot for BC Lottery Corporation, which brought to fruition the 30-second ‘Instant Tree.’ Jane Charles Shaw executive produced on behalf of Apple Box.
At Bryant Fulton & Shee, the creative team consisted of art director Lisa Francilia and copywriter Dan Scherk, who also fulfilled co-creative director duties. Valerie McTavish produced for the agency.

Rave Films/Film Neutron dispatched director Jay P. Morgan on a two-day Tiger Toys shoot, resulting in a :30, called ‘Attack of the Chibi Botto.’ Ron Williams lensed the ad and Jason Hunt executive produced for Rave.
The spot’s creative came from agency Posnik & Kolker under the creative direction of art director Edward Rupp. Rupp’s writing partner was David Lanfaire and Helen Polise produced for the agency.
Editing and post were handled in New York.
Rave/Neutron sent director/dop Joe Murray on a two-day shoot for Ford. Hunt executive produced the :30, ‘Escape.’
Dailey & Associates provided the creative, with creative directors Mike Faulkner and Cliff Einstein at the helm. Joe Stanley produced for the agency.

At Critical Madness Productions, director Linda Hassani had a two-day shoot for Manitoba Lotteries Corporation’s ‘Responsible Gambling’ campaign. The two :30s – ‘Street Hockey’ and ‘Board Game’ – were lensed by Ron Williams and produced by Critical Madness’ Jeff Peeler.
At agency Vida Loca/23 Below, creative director/copywriter was Randy Kohuch and art director was Darryl Hartle.

Critical Madness director Jeff Erbach spent a day shooting ‘Dance,’ a 30-second spot for Manitoba Public Insurance. Brian Rougeau served as dop and Peeler produced.
The creative was born in-house at Manitoba Public Insurance and post duties were handled by Darren Wall at Frantic Films.
The Big Film Company sent director Ron Chapman on a one-day shoot for Nokia, bringing to life a :30 called ‘Phobia.’ James Gardner manned the camera and Angie Colgoni executive produced for Big.
Creative on the spot came from Brandworks and the creative team of art director Frank Tino, copywriter Drew Frohmann and creative director Michael Clancy. Tina Maerzke produced for the agency.
Big director Jim Lotter helmed a day for the Ontario Lottery Corporation’s ‘Mom.’ Paul Taulton served as dop and Big’s Dave Greenham executive produced.
The creative came care of Microforum under the creative direction of Steven Rust. Art director Doug Maugham and copywriter Sandy Lemm comprised the team, with Allana Lytle producing.

Big’s Chris Sanderson teamed with dop Gardner on a two-day edc shoot. The collaboration resulted in three English/French :30s – ‘Ari,’ ‘Financing’ and ‘Expertise.’ Cindy Kemp executive produced for Big.
At agency Ogilvy One, art director Shilling Chau and copywriter/creative director Pete McLeod coined the creative. Judy Coleman produced for Ogilvy.
Alex Eaton cut the spots at Stealing Time and The Einstein Bros. composed the music.
Voodoo Arts director John Tate helmed a 2D animated :30 for Videotron’s new pager Nixxo, which will screen in theatres over the winter. Voodoo’s Stephanie Lord produced, with Christine Levesque handling the visual effects.
The agency behind the cinema spot is Publicite Martin, where copywriter Brigitte Thibault, art director Patrick Larochelle and creative director Michel Van Houtte made up the creative team. Ginette Larose produced for Martin.
Voodoo did post in-house, with Michel Gauvin and Midi Sonnant handling the sound design and music.
Radke Films and Voodoo assigned director/dop Steve Gordon to two :30s for Tropicana. The first is largely 3D animation, while the second is very effects-heavy. Kate Dale produced for Radke, while Richard Ostiguy executive produced. Levesque did the visual effects for Voodoo.
Creative was provided by the Harrod & Mirlin/fcb team of copywriter Mark Lewis and art director Todd Cornelius, under the creative direction of John Kyriakou. George Archer produced for the agency.

Imported director Richard D’Alessio and dop Simon Mestel had a day shooting a Budweiser spot, which is slated to air during the 2001 Superbowl. Imported’s Suzanne Allan executive produced.
The boards for the spot came via DDB Chicago.
Imported sent Jim Byrkit on a three-day shoot for Shoppers Drug Mart, yielding two 30-second ads. Marc Laliberte-Else was behind the camera and Marylu Jeffery exec produced.
The TBWA/Chiat Day team of art director Daniel Vendramin and copywriter Darren Clarke provided the creative, with Donna Heffernan producing.
