Prime Video’s The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power took control of the second spot on the digital originals chart in Canada following the Aug. 29 premiere of its second season.
The Lord of the Rings prequel series was 36.2 times more in demand than the average TV series in Canada the week of Aug. 26 to Sept. 1, according to Parrot Analytics.
Retaining its No. 1 spot on both the chart for digital originals and overall originals from the week before is Prime Video’s Hazbin Hotel. The animated-musical comedy saw its demand average creep slightly upwards to 44.
Following behind at No. 3 and No. 4 respectively is Disney+’s The Acolyte with a demand average of 34, and Netflix’s Emily in Paris with a demand average of 28.8.
