Montreal special visual-effects producer Voodoo Arts has named Marshall Vincent as its new president and announced closing on a $1.6 million private financing with Toronto-Dominion Financial Group.

A former gm with Productions Guy Cloutier, Vincent holds shares in the company and will supervise all financial and business operations.

The financing includes a $600,000 loan for equipment upgrades and $1 million in operating credit.

Voodoo also announced award-winning clip and doc director Bernard Nadeau has joined the company.
