The cftpa, along with the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, has accepted 20 interns for its International Intern Program for Canadian Youth.
The program, which the cftpa has run for Foreign Affairs and International Trade for three years, helps young people advance their careers in film and television, particularly in the global arena.
Participating interns will gain exposure to the intricacies of international feature film coprods and the high-profile international markets. They will also have the chance to help shoot a documentary in a developing country.
Foreign Affairs and International Trade has provided $300,000 for the program from its Youth International Internship Program.
Each cftpa member company donating time, resources and expertise to mentor the interns will also be providing a portion of their salaries.
