Cheng has been appointed as VP of finance and facilities as CFO Rob Searle readies for retirement.

The Canadian Media Producers Association (CMPA) has appointed Nicole Cheng as VP of finance and facilities.

In her new role, Cheng will play a crucial part in the CMPA’s senior leadership team, overseeing and managing the finance and facility functions of the organization. She takes on this role as current CFO, Rob Searle, transitions to retirement.

Cheng joined the CMPA as controller in 2018, having previously held senior positions at Newfound Resources, the Dental Corporation of Canada and Landmark Home Solutions. She also previously ran her own accounting and tax services company. She brings a wealth of experience, holding the CPA, CGA designation and a Master of Accountancy degree from Brock University.

CMPA president and CEO, Reynolds Mastin, commended Cheng for her profound financial expertise, collaborative approach and understanding of the organization’s corporate requirements. “Nicole is an excellent addition to the CMPA’s leadership team and a great successor to Rob as he begins this well-deserved next chapter,” he added.
