*Martin Short chosen for Banff Comedy Award

Canadian actor/comedian Martin Short has been named the winner of the 1999 Sir Peter Ustinov Comedy Network Award, handed out annually at the Banff Television Festival. The prize was initiated in 1991 to honor a major communicator in the field of entertainment and the arts.

The award presentation will be made June 14 at the Banff Television Festival’s awards gala.
