The Canadian Association of Film Distributors and Exporters and the Motion Picture Theatre Association of Canada, representing the country’s major and regional exhibitors, will meet in Toronto Nov. 25 to discuss ways of increasing joint promotion for Canadian movies.
‘It could mean running trailers in all the theaters. It could mean all kinds of new [promotional] programs,’ says Richard Paradis, cafde president.
Paradis says the relationship between distributors and exhibitors has deepened in the past year, opening the door to this month’s initiative.
