Vidatron Entertainment of Vancouver unveiled its latest series as Playback was going to press. Yaletown, created by Larry Sugar of Vidatron division Sugar Entertainment, is being made for WIC Western International Communications, keeping alive the idea that business continues at the Vancouver broadcaster while its assets are being divvied by Global and Shaw.
In addition, Vidatron has picked up a Disney series, So Weird, which Sugar supervised as a pilot earlier this year. So Weird, described as Harriet The Spy meets Poltergeist, is a half-hour kids’ show that goes before cameras Sept. 23.
