Montreal’s Compagnie France Film with new division Equinox is considering handing over an expanded slate of English-language product for distribution to Red Sky Entertainment in Vancouver.

France Film/Equinox is also reportedly considering an arrangement with another English-language distribco.

Award-winning British director Christine Edzard is accusing Imax Films of ‘unwarranted cutting and tampering’ on The IMAX Nutcracker, the 3D film she directed for the company.

Edzard says Imax brought in a new producer late in the game who reshot a key sequence and made 47 cuts to already cut negative, leaving the film ‘incomprehensible,’ with scenes out of sync, the music in ‘shambles’ and the doubles hired for the reshoot identifiable, Edzard concludes.
