As of May 28, the French-language envelopes of the CTCPF Equity Investment Program were less encumbered than its English-language counterparts.

In French tv, of the $29.8 million available, $13.8 million is earmarked for productions commissioned by Radio-Canada, $16 million for private broadcasters. Total applications of $39.3 million have oversubscribed the pool by $9.5 million. With no renewals in queue, 100% of the French tv funds will go to new programming.

There is $5 million of $6.4 million available in the feature film envelope. In English-language feature film, a total budget of $14 million, payments to films committed last year are at $4 million. With only $780,000 committed this year, the available balance is $9.2 million. The eip is expected to release official updates of all its funding envelopes early this week.
