Shaftesbury Films and Baton Broadcasting have signed a development deal for an mow based on a novel from Saskatchewan-based mystery novel writer Gail Bowne.

Kate Nelligan is on board to play protagonist Joanne Kilbourn.

Set in Saskatchewan, the Kilbourn series is comprised of five books.

Deadly Appearances, Murder at the Mendel, The Wandering Soul Murders, A Colder Kind of Death and A Killing Spring.
