At Magic, Derek Case is shooting a day for Future Shop through Bates O’Rourke as well as a day for Budweiser through Bozell Palmer Bonner. Ted Parkes got the sensation directing a day for York Peppermint Patty through Granicus Productions.
Radke Films’ Jeff Jones directed two days on location for a 60 and a 30 for client Toshiba through Promanad. dop was Barry Parrell and editing was handled by David Baxter.
Martin Shewchuk directed three days on location towards two 30s for Vicks Nyquil through dmb&b New York. Tarko was dop.
Director Eddy Chu has one day on location for Worldwide Tours. Creative was from Wain Choi, John Terry and Nicholas Casimir. Glen Keenan is on camera.
New Toronto production entity Angel Films, headed by Sarah Ker-Hornell, had its first commercial job with Richard Picton directing a a Scott Paper Towels spot through MacLaren McCann. Creatives were Bob Anderson and Susan Elsley; agency producer was Angy Loftus. dop was James Gardner and the spot was produced by Nina Valiquette. Flashcut’s Tim Kirkwood is handling editing and Command Post is finishing.
Director/cameraman Joe Piccirillo handled Angel’s second shoot, a Lever hair product through jwt. Valiquette produced. Creative was from Shelley Ambrose and Mary Spencer and agency producer was Nansi Thomas. Denis Takacs of Smash is handling post and transfer is courtesy Command Post.

Kessler Irish Films’ David Wellington directed a psa day for Kid’s Help Phone online service through bbdo. Smith and Denvir created the spot and Woodward was agency producer. Andre Pienaar was the dop and Kessler executive producer was Kate Hunter. Chameleon’s Leo Zaharatos edited the 60.
Director David Strupp had a day on a 30-second Canadian Cancer Society psa through Holmes Donin Alloul. Doug Koch was dop and Jane Kessler executive produced. Creatives were art director Peter Knight and creative director Peter Holmes. Agency producer was Marion Bern. Flashcut’s Brian Noon edited.
At Circle Productions, Shin Sugino is directing and shooting a day for Assert Weed Control through Quarry Communications. Chris Van Dyke at Daily Post will edit the two 15s.
Stephen Yeates is directing a day (and a prelight in studio) for National Geographic Puzzles through Jordan McGrath in New York. James Gardner is cameraman.
