showcase Television has purchased the rights to the 22-hour Telescene Communications lady police series Sirens, set to air April 19. It will broadcast in French on Tele-Metropole starting May 15.
The series has been syndicated to 132 u.s. stations and sold to cfcf-tv Montreal.
In other Telescene news, Hiroshima, the miniseries directed by Roger Spottiswoode, has been nominated in the Producer’s Guild of America Awards, as well as the America Cinema Editors Awards.
